Belfast shopping

Welcome back!

Last weekend I was in Belfast.. when I think about Belfast I think…shopping… well..not only but it is a nice thoughtJ

Of course I could not resist and visited few beauty departments.. 1st I went to Debenhams in Castel Court shopping mall… what really caught my eyes was MAC store – male make up artists wearing make up… especially as one of them had great makeup! I wanted to take a photo to put it on the blog and also to recreate it for everyone, but unfortunately he did not agree… in fact he was not nice at all… strange as I really did not have anything bad in my mind… just to take a photo of a lovely make up. In fact his behavior put me off the MAC shop… so I just went to the Estee Lauder counter where each of the beauty advisors had the same make up. It was very similar make up the Estee Lauder Fall 2011 makeup created by Tom Pecheux and called The Pure Color Mercury; the only difference was that instead of silver eye shadows ladies had graphite/navy/blue eye shadows on. It was pretty heavy but very glamorous make up, with the accent on the dark blue eyes and matte red lips. I will also try to recreate it and will take a picture for the blog.

I used the iMatch service at the Estee Lauder counter. Judith, EL beauty advisor, did match the correct foundation to my skin. I really like that kind of service! I have already tried this kind of service at the Clinique counter before… I used to think that my skin is yellow toned… I guess it was when I was 2-3 shades darker (tan, tan, tan…) few years ago… Nowadays I found out, thanks to Clinique and Estee Lauder counters, that my skin tone is Neutral. I can wear yellow and pink based foundations. I can greatly recommend to you the iMatch service, especially that it is free and you are not obligated to buy the foundation.

In Estee Lauder I found shades 2 and 3 to be my best shade and the foundation is: Double Wear Stay- In Place foundation in 3N1 Ivory Beige. I got 10 ml of this foundation for trying out and I am really curious how it will fit my skin… I will let you know whenever I think I am ready to say anything more about it.

I also visited Boots and Superdrug, looking for some new bargains…
In Boots I spotted new mascara by 17. It is called 17 Falsifeye mascara. I am nuts about good mascaras so anything that promises a false lashes look will interest me;) I purchased this mascara and as a free gift I received black gel eyeliner – all for 6.49 pounds. I have not tried it yet so I cannot say if it does what it promises. Although I think it is great value for money!

In Superdrug I also bough few cosmetics…
- lots of eyeshadows from FAMOUS by Sue Moxley – on sale from 4 pounds down to 2 pounds each!
- two baked eye shadows by Accessorize – 4,5 pounds each
- three matte L’OREAL COLOR RICHE ACCORDS INTENSE LIPSTICKs for 8,69 pounds each
- Nail Polish in NERD by H&M - 2.99 pounds
- Nail Polish in The ELLE Orange by MAVALA - free with September'11 ELLE magazine purchase

I used to buy only high end cosmetics, now I find plenty of cheap (or nice word: ‘Budget friendly’) cosmetics as good as high end ones..
Anyway, from all my beauty items I purchased the winner is… L’OREAL COLOR RICHE ACCORDS INTENSE LIPSTICK!!! But…. More about them in my next article…

Thanks!!!
