So long time ago...

Hi Everyone!

I am really sorry for being so quiet... looks like my work and college made me so busy... that I simply could not find time for anything more...
But I promise I am back... I am not gonna write every day, but I will try to write 1-2 posts a week...
Promise, and forgive me...

Anyway, I am doing Beauty Therapy school now... so more and more about beauty... some subjects are very new to me, so are very interesting and some… less interesting…generally it is very exciting subject for me!
I have just found out that my skin is not just oily but also a combinations, as I have some symptoms of dry skin….. I think I know what it caused.. but so far I prefer not to write about it… till I will be sure…

Now, coming back to beauty products…. Recently I was really please with few products and disappointed with one…

Let’s start from good ones;)
I love The Body Shop company, shops, their products, etc…I always visit their counter whenever I am around it… recently beauty consultant, lovely lady, that is manager in Derry, showed me few products and made a quick make up for me.. I am make up artist myself, but love when other do it to me… always something new to learn!
She introduced me to The Body Shop mineral foundation products – they are so lovely! I will write about them more in my next post… but they are worth money!
Why? As my face looked so flawless, so fresh and young! It was also due to the blusher that I purchased straight away!
Baked-To-Last Blush in Coral – it is a blusher and a highlighter in a duo palette. It has beautiful coralish/pinkish color makes your face so fresh and lively… l has some shimmer in it, so it is not matte one, although I think it a great product, that can be used even without any bronzer or eye shadow, just a blush, mascara, and some fuchsia lipstick, also from The Body Shop in Neon Pink no.59.
It is almost winter…so time for some lively colors!

What dissapointed me... in next post!

Photos will be uploaded later...

I have to have this perfume! Elie Saab “La Perfum”

Today I bought Vogue from October’11, with great Adele on the cover. I love the way she looks and her make up! Someday I will try to do her make up and post it here…

Anyway, I was reading Vogue and saw an advertisement for the new perfume of Elie Saab, called “La Perfum”.

It was with a little sample, that I tested straight away… I did not expect anything special, rather some perfume similar to CK Beauty or Chloe edp or Chloe Love (also on my wishlist)... not that I do not like these two perfumes.. but they are ment to be clasics ones, that you know what to expect..
To my surprise I was overwhelmed by the bright orange blossom and jasmine notes – it reminded me of a mix of Alien T.Mugler, but then I felt some sweet honey note like in Estee Lauder Sensuous and in the end some musky, rosy and patchouli notes from Narciso Rodriguez for Her. I am not surprised abut the last notes of this perfume as it has been created by great nose, Francis Kurkdjian, who is responsible for the Narciso Rodriguez for Her.

Anyway, this perfume is quite laud and glamour, with some great honey liquorish woods.. It would be great perfume for winter time and cashmere pullover..

I also think Anja Rubik, Polish model, is doing great job being a face of Ellie Saab “La Perfum”.

Although if you dislike laud, big flower pefumes, or perfumes like Alien by T.Mugler, Sensuous by Estee Lauder, Narciso Rodriguez for Her, Lovely by SJP or Addict by Dior then you better stay away from this perfume!

In fact since May 2010 I have not discovered perfume that made me want them so much as Perfum”.

From now it is on my wish list…

Update, 1 hour later.. this perfume is narcotic! I keep smelling the page and the sample... pure class!

Summer perfumes...

Here I am back!
Learning to drive takes so much time!

Anyway, today I am thinking to write about the perfumes..
I am addictive not only to cosmetics, but also to perfumes… I prefer not to say how many bottles I own…

Anyway, the summer is gone, at least here in Northern Ireland, and I am starting to reach for different perfumes… according to my mood…
What have I been using during this summer?

This summer I have been using a lot of fresh light perfumes… nothing too sweet… although there was on sweet one.. I guess exception of the rule;)
I have been using:

- Escada, the green bottle one, that reminds me of the holiday and seaside, especially seaside in the evening… it is very fresh fragrance but still
-
- Ghost Serenity - another clean fragrance, woody and musky, but very fresh… in a style of green team but it is 100 times better then Green Tea…

- Dior Diorella (vintage one) – very fresh, citrusy classy scent. Pure chic in the bottle. I use it in the summer to fresh but still very classy… this one I love to use the whole year… but not every day.. I need a special mood for Diorella.. another classic Dior is on my wish list it is Diorama…

- Valentino Eau de Parfum – it is very creamy floral, very soft and romantic, but not ver y floral due to the rice vapour in it..

- Kenzo Les Eaux De Fleur Collection - Eau De Fleur de Magnolia – it is pure sunshine in the bottle, so refreshing, reminds me of Turkey holiday as it is so cheerful and warm!

- JLO My Glow – it is very soft powder aquatic fragrance almost a skin scent – love it… especially that it has calming notes due to lavender.

- Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia – it reminds me the older one, Aqua di Gio, that was my top fragrance during university time… Although this one is more modern, more sweet and still having fresh aquatic feeling

- Dolce & Gabbana BY – I love this one! I use during hot summer night as that is so sexy perfume..’Sex on Legs”… so pity it has been discontinued… having my last two bottles and using them very sporadically…
-
- Coach Poppy - this is the “Fantasy” mixed with “Daisy”… do I like it? Yes! Why? It is just so youthful but still femine… although not very original or sophisticated.. but do we need to use serious perfume everyday day?

Ps. Photos will follow whenever I will fix my camera…

Custom made foundation.. Inglot plus Kanebo!

Hi everyone,

I am very sorry for being quiet.. being very busy with my work and with driving lessons...
Anyway, I promise I will upload some more thoughts and photos on Saturday evening/Sunday morning.

Additionally having a question to you... do you like to mix your foundations??

Today I did it.. I mixed my Inglot AMC Cream Foundation in light color with Kanebo Sensai Liquid Finish in dark colour.. I was very pleased with the effect!
Inglot was too light color and slightly too creamy and highlighting texture for me, and Kanebo was too dark for me and a bit too watery... when I mixed them both the color was just right with a little bit of tan, not too runny or too creamy... some pleasure!:)

Thanks and see you later!

My all time favorite - part 3

Today I am going to continue explaining why I love some high end makeup products.
I have already mentioned here what are my all time favorites and started here why I love some of them...

Today I will write about eyeshadows.. YSL, Dior, Estee Lauder, Lancome – love them!
They are all different....

Dior eyeshadows
Dior has several different eye shadows quads, Couleur High Impact Eyeshadow, 5 Couleur Designer - All in One Artistry Palette, 5-Colour Iridescent Eyeshadow, etc.
There boxes are always very classy, even that there are few box designs, older and newer ones, always in dark blue color.

The texture is always superb! Some of them are creamier, or even have cream eyeshadows/eyeliners like All in One Artistry Palette, some are more matt, but then having very velvety texture.
Some of the palettes are like "ultra-wet", metal-like colors that make the eye sparkle, but with no actual sparkles!
"ultra-wet" means the unique Wet Reflect technology that infuses a whole new generation of powders with pearlescent particles, brilliance never seen before!.
They are very easy with gliding, never any fallings, ultra-luminous finish.
Summing up these eye shadows are silky, almost creamy in texture that blends perfectly into the eyelid. Love them!

Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) eyeshadows
YSL eyeshadows are very special to my heart… maybe because there were my 1st expensive eye shadows, recommended by YSL beauty consultant in London… several years ago I remember the quad was dark blue and pearly light blue… they were really cute! I used to leave them…
And the gold box of this palette… full glamour!!!
I have some all time favorites that are not in the stock anymore…
I love them for the colors, for velvet texture and for the way they put different colors together.. like dark purple and orange that reflect in pink.. or lila and bronze…
Currently I love their c
On my wish list is the Pure Chromatics Wet and Dry Eye Shadow Palette in no. 4 and 6.

Estee Lauder eyeshadow
The palette is called: Surreal Violet, and it comes from limited collection Blue Dahlia Collection from 2010 fall. There are 5 shades of lilac, mauve, purple, eggplant and violet – my favorite colors.. it contains matte, frost and shimmer.. and the texture is very smooth and velvety.
Lancome eye shadow
The palette is called Color Focus Duo 103 Night & Day. You can still buy it in the Lancome counters. It is great palette for drama makeup… but not the regular one, not boring one as it has the most beautiful dark shimmery metallic grayish green compared with satin light pink. The texture is like velvet and the effect it stunning! I can highly recommend them if you like dark green color and if you like to play with colors other then neutral.

I know many of you prefer MAC eyeshadows. I like them, especially that they have huge range of colours, but there texture sometimes is not as good as Dior or YSL ones...

Anyway, what are your favorite high end eyeshadows??

New mascaras lunch - Benefit, Avon, Lancome

I am sorry for being a bit quiet.. I have been buying a car for myself and it took me a while to decide what car I want, to buy one, to register it, and to start driving it, etc.. but everything is almost sorted out.. Although I might be a bit quiet once in a while as I am just learning how to drive not to crush....

Anyway, let’s go back to beauty!
Recently I have been reading about new mascaras lunch.. as I said before I cannot live without mascara!
There have been few lunches of mascaras that I am dying to try out…

Benefit They're Real! Mascara

It is advertised by the look of a pin up girl – their usual brand look. I love this look, but this looks is a bit different one. It reminds me of a look of Rita Harford, even that she was more from 40’s…This time this pin up girl is not sweet but devilish! The woman in the advertisement reminds me of “GILDA”, sensuous new wife, played by Rita Harford.
Have a look!

It is a thriller movie… and the mascara is also a real "thriller" as it promises the ultimate lash criminal! As the mascara promises the real, but false lashes!
This lady makes you believe that you want to looks as her and she is just so sexy and dangerous that it is hard not to want to look this way.. thanks to her mascara!
And the mascara is called: Benefit They're Real!

I have read bout this mascara so many good reviews, when I look at the pictures it reminds me the MaxMactor False Lashes mascara (that always tickles my lashes!!!)
It is stating that it combines long and short bristles to coat lashes for great length and definition. It is supposed to lift and shape even small lashes.
What I really like that on the Benefit cosmetics website it is showing how to apply this mascara to achieve great look!
I love their previous Bad Gal mascara so I suppose this one will be another hit!

Hypnôse Doll Lashes mascara by Lancome

This mascara promises Doll Lash Effect Mascara - Wide-Eye Look. Volumized, extended, lifted lashes. Doll eyes mascara means eye-opening mascara.
I have researched that it took 7 years for Lancôme (L’Oreal, as they own Lancôme) to make this mascara. It promises separation without clumbing, great volume, and ability to reach any lashes, even the small ones.
I love Hypnose Lancome mascara so I hope this one is as good as the others!
I know there is a cheaper dupe for the one that I have already tried and liked it! It is new L'Oreal Lash Architect 4D.. also giving Doll Eyes looks.

Avon SuperSHOCK Max Mascara
I really liked Avon SuperSHOCK Mascara, as it gives really great volume, that reminds me of Hypnose mascara.. Few days ago I got Avon catalogue and saw that the new one Super SHOCK one is on sale… promising MAX effect.. this mascara is definitely the most “budget friendly” one that is why I am ordering it.. and le you know what I think… so be patient! And wait for more words on this one!

My all time favorite - part 2

As I promised in my previous tag I am writing about my all time favorites a bit further… Some of these cosmetics as old, some are new.. some I keep re-buying… Of core they are great for me but might be not as great for you!

I will start from:

• Double ended eye pencil by Dr Hauschka (black/ aubergine)

It is very useful pencil, as you have 2 colors in one pencil. The colors are very complimentary, as you can use them also both of you want to get the more dramatic look. It contains mineral color pigments contains and is free of any synthetic preservatives and scents. In fact the pigment is great one and I love the way this pencil glides on! The only con of this pencil is that it has been limited edition and it is not available anymore.
I didn’t expect this one to be so nice… I bought it as someone recommended them to me, and I am glad I did!

• Lancome Hypnose mascara

I hove mascaras. I love Lancome mascaras (except one of them).
If I have to put ONLY one thing before leaving home it is usually mascara.
My 1st high end mascara was Lancome Definicils mascara and I remember how I was impressed by the effect! It was 20 years ago and till today I am devoted to Lancome mascaras…
Although the one I always come back is Hypnose by Lancome.
Currently, for a change, I am testing out the mascara: Hypnose Drama by Lancome. It is a bit of a dupe for YSL False Lashes – as it really gives big drama effect, but might be clumsy if you do not know how to apply it properly… I do not mind it…
Hypnose (not Drama, but the regular one) is my favorite one. I have been using regular Hypnose for 5-6 years and it gives great length, definition and beautiful volume.
It does not irritate my eyes, and I have very sensitive dry eyes. It is worth every penny!
Currently I am dying to try the new Doll Hypnose mascara

What's your all time high end make-up product? Suggestions for ones I must try are always welcome.

Prictures will be uploaded later this weekend
